2024 NHERI Wall of Wind Mitigation Challenge

2024 NHERI Wall of Wind Mitigation Challenge

The NHERI Wall of Wind hosts the annual WOW Mitigation Challenge for South Florida high school students. This year, teams designed a wind mitigation barrier that would provide the best wind protection for a hypothetical Miami Beach condominium property. Their designs were then tested by the NHERI Wall of Wind. This year’s first place winner was the team from the TERRA Environmental Research Institute in Miami, above.
